PURPOSE: To provide large bending rigidity in the width direction of a belt, and to secure the adhesivity by making the material of the weft in the width direction of a conveyor belt to be used for the fiber cloth of the aliphatic polyamide having the aromatic ring. CONSTITUTION: In a rubber belt for a conveyor with the fiber cloth as a core, the material of the weft in the width direction of the conveyor belt to be used in the fiber cloth is made of the mono filament of the aliphatic polyamide (MX nylon) having the aromatic ring in the principal chain of the chemical structure. For example, the cloth layer conveyor belt A comprises an upper cover 1, a lower cover 2, an ear cover 3, and a cloth layer 4 where the weft is made of monofilament of MX nylon ofϕ0.6, and the warp is made of the double-twisted nylon 6 of 840 denier. Because the mono-filament of MX nylon is used as the material of the weft of the fiber cloth as the core, large bending rigidity can be obtained in the width direction of the belt, and the adhesivity to the rubber is superior to that of the mono-filament of polyester.
