PURPOSE: To keep shading properties and antistatic properties by applying conductive paint containing carbon black to the single surface of a shading plastic sheet layer formed from a thermoplastic resin to which carbon black is added in a specific amt. and specifying a surface resistivity value. CONSTITUTION: A conductive embossed carrier tape having shading properties is composed of an antistatic sheet with a surface resistivity value of 10<4> -10<10>Ω/square obtained by applying conductive paint containing carbon black to at least the single surface of a plastic sheet layer to which shading properties are imparted by adding 0.5-8 pts.wt. of carbon black to 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin to form a conductive layer thereon. When carbon black is below 0.5 pts.wt., shading properties are insufficient and, when carbon black becomes more than 8 pts.wt., the lowering of mechanical strength is generated. When carbon black is below 0.5-1 pts.wt., according to circumstances, shading properties are lost by a mold when the carrier tape is molded.
