FILTER MEDIUM AND AIR FILTER

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a filter medium maintaining satisfactory efficiency of capture of dust in air over a long time from the early stage of use as a high performance air filter (HEPA), an ultrahigh performance air filter (ULPA), etc., not causing the falling of glass fibers from the medium and considering the reduction of the amt. of noncombustible refuse causing a more serious environmental problem in future. CONSTITUTION: Glass microfibers of 0.1-1μm average fiber diameter are mixed with fibrillated org. fibers made of a rigid straight chain synthetic polymer and having 30-800" freeness, org. fibers of 0.1-1.0 denier fiber diameter and a fibrous binder to obtain the objective filter medium.
