PURPOSE: To obtain a high light resistance when an image is protected by a transfer type image protective film. CONSTITUTION: This transfer type image protective film 1 comprises an image protective layer 5 made of thermoplastic resin, laminated on a base material film 2 and thermally transferred to an image to be protected, wherein the layer 5 has a multilayer structure in such a manner that the surface sticky layer 4 in direct contact with the image to be protected does not contain ultraviolet absorbent and the ultraviolet absorption layer 3 not in direct contact with the image to be protected contains the ultraviolet absorbent.
