<p>PURPOSE: To provide a braking device of a moving body which can restrain inertia running to be short to the utmost with little time delay at abnormality such as outage of an electric power source on the ground side, without causing complicated constitution. CONSTITUTION: In this braking device of a moving body, the moving body A of which running along a guide rail B is controlled by a linear motor LM operated by electric power supplied from an electric power source 3 on the ground side, is provided with brake shoes energized by coil springs on the brake action state side restraining the running movement of the moving body A, and a holding member capable of being changed to a hold state holding the brake shoes in the brake released state and the hold released state releasing hold. Further, the moving body A is provided with an electromagnetic solenoid SL maintaining the holding member in the hold state while power is supplied from the electric power source to the linear motor LM, and changing the holding means into the hold release state accompanying stop of power supply from the electric power source 3.</p> |
