摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To enlarge the degree of corresponding freedom to production variations as well as not to lower the rate of operation even owing to these production variations, or abnormality on a robot and its maintenance and inspection. CONSTITUTION: When a product is of a vehicle body, there are some production variations occurred, in particular in form and type alterations and the like in the product. In response to this fact, production information is inputted into a host computer 60, and thereby the next control takes place. Three movable rails 12, 14 and 16 are connected to a terminal 18 in series, and each carrier 24 travels to the movable rails from the terminal in a separate manner. Subsequently, each movable rail travels in the direction of an arrow A, and further each of these carriers 24 travels in the direction of an arrow B, whereby a robot 28 is set up in the specified position. At this specified position, for example, a welding gun 32 is attached to one of robots 28, then this robot 28 is operated and controller for returning to a position where it is connected to the terminal in series, and then the robot 28 is put back to the outside of a production line area 34.</p>
