PURPOSE: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner in which an air blowing performance is not reduced and suction sound can also be reduced. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit 1 of an air conditioner having a lateral flow fan with an air blowing passage divided by a nose 4 into a suction side and a discharging side and having a heat exchanger 5 arranged in the air blowing passage is constructed such that a projecting member 6 projected to enclose a shaft end of the lateral flow fan 3 is arranged between a heat exchanger 5 and the lateral flow fan 3, and the projecting member 6 is formed with a reduced part 22 of which projecting width is reduced as it is moved away from the nose 4 and toward the central side in the air blowing passage. |
