PURPOSE: To form an engine in a compact manner by preventing the increase of the overall width of an engine. CONSTITUTION: In a deceleration control device for an engine 51 formed in such a manner that the throttle valve of a carburetor 5 disposed on the upper stream side of a plurality of intake manifolds 1 is coupled through a synchronizing rod 17, and a throttle damper 20 to slow closing operation of a throttle valve during rapid closing of a throttle valve is arranged, the throttle damper 20 is disposed between intake manifolds 1. Further, the throttle damper 20 is constituted in such a manner to operate by a throttle lever 16 on the carburetor 5 side. This constitution eliminates a need for a cam accelerator heretofore arranged and forms the engine 51 in a compact manner by preventing the increase of the overall width of the engine 51. |
