PURPOSE: To obtain a high-pigment-concentration colorant composition excellent in pigment dispersibility in molding PP by adding a pigment to a carrier resin comprising an ethylene/or propylene/α-olefin copolymer and a low-molecular- weight olefin resin. CONSTITUTION: This colorant composition is obtained by adding a pigment to a carrier resin comprising an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer (e.g. ethylene/ propylene copolymer) or a propylene/α-olefin copolymer (e.g. propylene/butene-1 copolymer) (A) and a low-molecular-weight olefin resin (B). By using a combination of the components A and B as the vehicle resin of a masterbatch color, the dispersion of the coloring component can be improved in the coloration molding, such as injection, extrusion or blow molding, of a polypropylene, the segregation and color unevenness do not occur, and the appearance and moldability of the article can be improved.
