PURPOSE: To industrially stably obtain a hollow fibril polyester processed yarn having the characteristic touch of a flat yarn, a natural touch like to that of a hemp yarn, and excellent water absorbabi1ity without fuzzing in a false- twisting process. CONSTITUTION: A hollow fibril polyester processed yarn comprises hollow filaments comprising a polyester containing an organic sulfonic acid metal salt and having a follow degree of >=15%, has a flat cross section, and has many longitudinally oriented streak-like grooves on the outer surface and hollow inner wall surface of each filament. The hollow fibril polyester processed yarn is obtained by false-twisting the hollow filaments comprising the polyester containing the organic sulfonic acid metal salt in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% and having a hollow degree of >=15% under conditions comprising a false-twisting speed of 80-120m/min, a twisting coefficient K of 20,000-30,000, a false-twisting temperature of 180-200 deg.C, a false-twisting tension of 10-20g, a heat set temperature of 190-229 deg.C and an overfeeding degree of 10-25% on a heat-setting treatment, and subsequently subjecting the false-twisted yarn to a weight-reducing alkali treatment. |
