PURPOSE: To effectively reduce a speed change shock by learning a possible range of rotation ratio with respective gear positions on the basis of the rotation ratio at non-speed change command time, and judging it as a speed change start point when the present rotation ratio goes beyond a rotation ratio possible range in a gear position before sped change at speed change command time. CONSTITUTION: In a gear transmission 4 of an automatic transmission, speed change is controlled through a hydraulic actuator 5 on the basis of a speed change position set in a control unit 6 to input output signals of a vehicle speed sensor 8, a throttle sensor 10, an input rotating speed sensor 11 and an output rotating speed sensor 12 of the gear transmission 4 or the like. In this case, in the control unit 6, a rotation ratio possible range is learnt with respective gear positions on the basis of the rotation ratio at non-speed change command time, and when the present rotation ratio goes beyond the rotation ratio possible range n a gear position before speed change at speed change command time, it is judged as a sped change stating point. Speed change is performed at the speed change starting point, and a speed change shock is controlled. |
