PURPOSE:To provide an amorphous thin-belt saturable magnetic core wherein the request of a low iron loss and a high squareness ratio is satisfied even at a high frequency of 300kHz or higher. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous thin-belt saturable magnetic core whose magnetostriction is small is composed of CoaFebMocSndSieBf having magnetostriction of -0.1X10<-6> to -1.0X10<-6>, and it is thinner than 15mum. The magnetic core can satisfy the request of both a low iron loss and a high squareness ratio even at a high frequency. As a result, when it is used for a magnetic amplifier in a switching power supply at 300kHz or higher, heat generated from the iron core is small as compared with that in conventional cases, its power supply can be made small-sized and its cooling method can be simplified. |
