PURPOSE: To efficiently inhibit troubles involved in pitch by incorporating a pulp slurry with, as a pitch-controlling agent, an aqueous dispersion containing a higher fatty acid zinc salt and a cationic active agent. CONSTITUTION: Troubles involved in pitch are inhibited by incorporating a pulp slurry with a pitch-controlling agent, an aqueous dispersion, prepared by adding 1-20 pts.wt. of a cationic active agent consisting of an (1:1) condensate of a tall oil fatty acid and aminoethyl ethanolamine to 100 pts.wt. of a 8-30C higher fatty acid zinc salt such as zinc stearate 0.1-5μm in average particle diameter.
