<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently manufacture a retainer and profitably execute edge-cut working from standpoints of the cost, the installation space, and the like, by repeating advancing/retreating operation of edge-cut punch together with a pocket punch, and edge-cutting in order to the upper edge part in the rising direction of an annular circumferential wall part. CONSTITUTION: A circular elementary plate is stamped out from a metal plate, and a preforming work 10 having an annular circumferential wall part 6 is manufactured by a press. An edge-cut punch 23 is set adjacent to a pocket punch 22 on a punch operating body 21, and further a die provided with an edge part 24a for punching a pocket and an edge part 24b for edge-cut is set. By operating the punch operating body 21, the pocket punch 22 and the edge-cut punch 23 are integratedly operated, the upper edge part of the annular circumferential wall part corresponding to the territory of a pocket hole 7 is edge-cut extending over the length of a part in the circumferential direction, and the length L1 is set longer than the length L2 of the pocket punch 22. Consequently the retainer can be efficiently manufactured, and the cost, the installation space, and the like become profitable.</p> |
