PURPOSE: To rapidly produce carbonate water having a high carbon dioxide content and having good taste to drink by providing the inside of a carbon dioxide pressure vessel with a cylindrical spraying chamber having a spherical projection at its bottom and bringing the misty water droplets sprayed into this chamber and carbon dioxide into sufficient contact with each other, then allowing the water to flow down to the bottom of the vessel. CONSTITUTION: The carbon dioxide pressure vessel 1 is internally provided with the cylindrical spraying chamber 11 which is closed in the upper part and the circumference and is mounted with a spray 9 for introducing the water in its upper part. The bottom of the chamber 11 is provided with the spherical projection 16 having the circular base of the diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the cylindrical spraying chamber 11. The connecting part 19 thereof is provided with many small holes 18 and, if necessary, metallic wires 17 are connected to the under part of the connecting part 19. The water drops sprayed from the spray 9, then, come into collision against the surface of the spherical projection 16 and the smaller water droplets are formed. These water droplets splash into the cylindrical spraying chamber 11 and come into sufficient contact with the carbon dioxide, thereby absorbing the carbon dioxide. The water droplets, thereafter, transfer the metallic wires 17 from small holes 18 to attain the further contact. |
