PURPOSE: To produce an inexpensive powder for an LaCo type oxide catalyst increased in its specific surface area and enhanced in capacity by improving a powder preparing method. CONSTITUTION: A powder for a composite oxide catalyst based on La and Co is obtained by heating a soln. of a complex of nitrates of metal elements constituting the powder and amino acid to the b.p. thereof or higher. |
