PURPOSE: To enable to perform a steering operation with actual driving feeling by providing a pair of operation reaction giving means which gives an operation reaction against an operational direction 1 or 2 of a steering member independently and alternately and the operation reaction allows the steering member to return to its center position. CONSTITUTION: When a steering wheel 1 is rotated in the left direction, a pressure stopper 7-a of a pressure wheel 7 compresses a compression reaction rod cylinder 11L via a pressure control plate 10 to generate an operation reaction. As the pressure wheel 7 is given a self-aligning torque which always tries to return to the center position by the compression reaction rod cylinder 11L, when the steering wheel 1 is released, it starts rotation to the center position. At this time, a damper 12 is stroked, attenuation force is generated to prevent inertia. The steering wheel is returned to the center position at an actual speed so that it is quickly and correctly positioned to the center position. |
