PURPOSE: To provide an exhaust gas particulate reducing device that can burn combustible particulates in exhaust gas efficiently by heating a metallic filter by electromagnetic induction. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas particulate reducing device is provided with a pipe 11 made of non-magnetic material, where exhaust gas passes, a coil 12 wound around the pipe 11, and a metallic filter 13 enclosed in the pipe 11 and heated by electromagnetic induction through the coil 12. This metallic filter 13 is composed of a large number of members regularly arranged along the passing direction of gas and electrically connected to one another so as to generate an eddy current on the whole filter cross section to heat the filter. Combustible particulates in exhaust gas therefore come in contact with the filter heated all over so as to burn in an instant.
