<p>PURPOSE: To provide a solid golf ball having high repelling performance, excellent in flying distance, and excellent in durability, controllability, and feeling in striking the ball. CONSTITUTION: In this solid golf ball having a core 1 and cover 2, the core has an inside diameter of 32.7-38.4mm and the deformation generated from an initial load of 10kg till a final load of 130kg is applied is arranged as ranging 3.5-6.5mm. The cover 2 is composed of an inner layer cover consisting of a resin compound of 1.1-2.5mm thick containing ionomer resin as major component and having an elastic modulus of bending between 3500-6000kgf/cm<2> and an outer layer cover consisting of a resin compound of 1.1-2.5mm thick having an elastic modulus of bending between 2300-5500kgf/cm<2> which is 500kgf/cm<2> or more smaller than that of the inner layer cover.</p> |
