<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the penetration of a quench-hardened layer into one end surface of a work, at the time of applying the quenching treatment of the works having different lengths by using a common quenching coil. CONSTITUTION: In the quenching coil 1 formed as a frame-state matching to the length of the work W1 having the max. length, an almost U-shape cross sectional core 9 is arranged at a position in the reverse work side from the one end surface 2 of the treating objective work W1 or W2 and approaching the one end surface 2 to apply the quenching treatment. The core 9 is formed with high magnetic permeability member and also, an opening hole part is fitted to the quenching coil 1 so as to direct to the reverse work side, and the core 9 is slidingly shifted along the quenching coil 1 according to the length of the treating objective work W1 or W2 .</p> |
