Image coordination method for nuclear medicine

摘要

The image coordination method involves producing a functional image directed at the examination of one of a patient's organs after injection of a radioactive pharmaceutical product. Additionally two structural images are also taken which are designed to provide orientation referred to major identifiable features. A first application transformation connecting the two structural images is found, the second structural image having a known relation in position to the functional image. These data are used to determine the application transformation between the functional image and the first structural image. The first structural image may be a CT or MRI image and the second structural image may be an SPTCT or SPECT image.
