<p>The central chamber (2), open to the atmosphere, is surrounded by a system of inflatable rings (1,8,9,10), which is attached by sewing, fusion or gluing to the inner or outer walls of the chamber. When the system is activated, the rings are inflated and deploy the central chamber which fills with atmospheric air and acts as a shock absorber, deflating slowly under any outside force.</p> |
