The container has a rectangular metal base (2) formed from tubular cross members and beams. A metal trellis (18) extends over the base assembly. The base has dimensioned holes in the beams into which are engaged sleeves (13) holding vertical bars (12) onto which the steering wheels are threaded. The bars are immobilised by embedding their ends in holes in an upper movable structure (6). This structure is formed by two identical parts which are fixed together by a retaining part (8). The movable structure ends, which are connected to the front faces of the container, are constituted by a cylindrical stop which is housed inside tubes (5) extending vertically in the front faces. This allows retraction of the structure inside the tubes.
