The adaptor (24) includes a sleeve (26) with a longitudinal slit (28) and receiving the base (18) of a locking cylinder (14). The adaptor and cylinder are inserted in an opening (12) provided on a flat control panel (10). The cylinder includes a central core (16) attached to the base and a locking rotating cam (20) actuated by a key. The adaptor presents an exterior rim (30) which rests on the exterior surface of the panel. The sleeve has a conic shape which fixes the cylinder. The adaptor exterior surface presents a threaded segment towards its rear extremity which is engaged by a fixing nut.
