The device for positioning containers e.g. cardboard boxes supplied from a forming machine to the device via a feed belt, has a device for receiving each box. A lifting device is provided, and has a pushing element which moves stacked containers outside the device. The latter has a pair of plates or vertical partition walls (5) which are movable to adjust the box format. The movements are carried out by spindles (10,11) having corresponding arms (8,9) connected to move along the plates. The latter have longitudinal grooves (6) which contain concealable pressing elements (7). The latter emerge to hold containers between the walls or are retracted to release a box when stacked. A pusher element (15) moves a stack and is connected to a long stroke roller. |
