The burner has a thermocouple sensor probe (14) fixed to the base (2). An aperture is provided in the burner head for passage of the duct. The annular wall which surrounds the head has slots for the flames (25) except for the part interrupted by the surface of the probe. The cover (28) has a section (30) extending towards the base and having at least one opening for the flames and forming, at the interior of the head, a niche (32) in which the probe is seated and which is open towards the exterior facing the interrupted portion.
