Vehicle headlamp design

A car headlamp has a housing (10) and a lens (14) with a coloured imaging screen (38) through which the headlamps presents a coloured appearance when not in use. This screen is in the lower region of the housing, covering the inside at least partially. The screen is made as a one-piece item with the lens, protruding backwards into the housing from the lens. The lens has a lip around the edge from which the screen projects. The screen is attached to the housing in detachable fashion and is guided in by sliding. The screen has a flange (48) which abuts the opening and which is elastic, to form a seal.
