A sterile chamber, esp. for incubation purposes, consists of an area that has upper, lower and side walls made of a flexible plastic film, and a closable opening. A U-shaped support member (5) can be raised into a support position for the plastic film (3) to give the chamber stability (1). The chamber is esp. gas tight.
