<p>A curtain hanger system includes a stud (10, 610) fixable to a frame or wall and which includes a retaining boss (11, 630) for detachably engaging any one of a variety of curtain holder sockets (100, 310, 510) or a cap piece (28). The stud (10, 610) may be of the type having a number of rearwardly projecting fingers (18) which extend in use into the hollow interior of a frame, the fingers (18) being axially outwardly displaceable on insertion of a pin member (40) to retain the stud (10, 610) in the frame. Alternatively, the stud (610) may be fixable in a hollow or solid frame or wall by means of a screw (710, 800) or nail. The socket (100, 310, 510) is slidably engageable with the boss (11, 630) of the stud (10, 610) and includes at least one retainer (200, 220, (312, 311), (514, 522, 524)) to which a curtain cord (30) or rod (420) may be releasably attached. A socket suitable for supporting a curtain in a bay window is disclosed.</p> |
