<p>A servo and adaptive corrector of print speed for an electronic printer is disclosed which uses adaptively adjust print speed to avoid running out of image data during printing. The print speed is adjusted by first monitoring how fast data is transferred from a computer to the printer and changing an exposure table therefor. Then, once the printing has begun, by monitoring the print speed and adjusting servo speed based on any changes in print requirements due to a compression ratio of the image data that has been transferred from the computer.</p> |
