The device has a bite element (1) which is applied to a row of teeth with a disturbance-free height of less than 1.5 mm. It contains one or more pressure contact sensors (3) which close a current circuit (4) when a certain threshold pressure value of 500 p to 10 kp is reached. An acoustic signal is thereby generated with controllable shape and intensity. The parts are embedded in a water and bite-resistant elastic housing (7). A current which triggers the acoustic signal passes via a cable (8) which leads out to a circuit housing contg. the current source and acoustic transducer (9).
