Tooth root pin for artificial tooth crown, with head and screw threaded section

The head of the pin attaches the artificial crown. The top part of the pin facing the head is multiple-screw-threaded (1,2,3). The pin has a circular, cylindrical or conical anchor piece (4) for screwing into a prepared tooth-root. The length of the screw-threaded section amounts to 60 to 70 % of the length of the anchor piece. The screw thread has two to four threads, each of which completes three to five revolutions round the anchor piece.
