A flow controlling unit for one or more fluids, esp. molten plastic, has an original configuration. The fluid enters the supply channel (10) and leaves at the outlet channel (11) passing via interconnecting channels (5, 6). In each (5, 6), is a filter unit (1, 2). There are valves (3) in the channels, formed by differing types of blocking section (16, 25). In one position of a valve, the fluid is filtered; moved to a second position, the fluid is drained to atmosphere. Pref. fluid supply- and offtake channels (10, 11) are joined by two to eight fluid connection channels (5, 6). The device has an individual valve (3) with a single blocking section in the fluid supply channel (10) or the fluid offtake channel (11). It is mounted for axial movement between first and second positions. The blocking section is a cylindrical blocking bolt; it has a passage (18) for the fluid, with which the bolt (16) aligns in the first position. There is a further axially-offset opening (19) in the bolt. In the second position this permits drainage of the fluid to atmosphere. The further opening (19) discharges into an outlet channel to atmosphere, in the casing of the device. The blocking section may be so mounted that it rotates or pref. swivels between first and second positions. A passage in the blocking section (27) aligns with a channel in the first position, and a further opening (29) is arranged with radial offset from the opening.
