Floor paint with good oil and solvent resistance and early strength

Floor paint compsn. comprises (a) a mixt. of alpha -hemihydrate and cement in 80:20 to 95:5 wt. ratio and (b) a synthetic resin emulsion based on an anionic copolymer in an amt. of 15-35 wt.%, as solids w.r.t. mixt. (a). The copolymer has units derived from (i) ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic, sulphonic and/or phosphonic acid(s) and (ii) an ethylenically unsatd. monomer contg. organo-Si radical(s). Also claimed is a similar floor paint compsn., in which the anionic copolymer has units derived from (ii) and (iii) epoxysilane.
