A ceramic capacitor comprises a hollow body having two straight parallel sides 4 and 5 and two shorter sides 2 and 3 and provided with conductive layers 4a and 5a on the inner and outer surfaces, leads 6 and 7 being connected to the layers on the shorter sides and led out from the body parallel to its axis. The radius of curvature of the lead wires is preferably close to the radius of curvature of concave surfaces of the shorter walls where they are attached. The lead to the inner surface may have a bent over end whereby it is wedged inside the body prior to soldering (Fig. 2, not shown). An alternative arrangement of concave surfaces is disclosed (Fig. 3, not shown). Individual capacitors may be made by severing lengths of a longer metallized ceramic tube. |
