The prepn. is of catalytically-active polyether-polyols (I) by base-catalysed reaction of H-functional starters (II) with alkylene oxide (III) under the usual conditions. The polymerisation of (III) is catalysed by adding a combination of base and (in)organic alkali(ne earth) salt(s) in stages and/or the catalyst is removed by special crystal formation and removal by adding acids and removing the salts before concluding the crystal formation or conversion phase. Also claimed are (I) per se.
