Sample bottle for small samples of liquids

Small samples of liquid are kept and transported in a small plastic sample bottle with a screw closure (1) and contg. a capillary insert. The insert comprises a vessel part (3) with a conical depression at the base and attached to a glass capillary (4). A hole is provided at the base of the plastic bottle shell (2). Also claimed is a method of mfr. of the sample bottle in which a glass tube is cut to about double the length of the vessel part and parted in the middle with a flame, forming a common base. The glass capillary is cut to the required length and inserted in the vessel part, the two being joined by rolling.
