Hydraulic brake for roller carrying paper or fabric

The brake has an oil motor (22) which is arranged in a closed hydraulic circuit and driven by the core (12). The circuit has a pressure controller (34) on the output side of the motor. The speed of rotation and the braking moment automatically vary in the same sense of rotation. This is as a result of the interaction between the oil motor and the pressure regulator, and independently of the direction rotation (A B) of the core, whilst maintaining a maximum braking moment.
