The invention concerns a current-limiting arrangement comprising at least one limiting element (2) with at least one printed conductor (L) made of high-temperature superconductive material. In order that the arrangement responds sufficiently rapidly, the printed conductor (L) consists of a layer (4) of the superconductive material which is at most 200 mu m thick, is located on an electrically insulating substrate (3) and has a critical current density of at least 10<3> A/cm<2>. The substrate can be arranged on a carrier member, in particular a glass material with low shrinkage.
