The present invention entitled LIGHT-WEIGHT, FIRE-RESISTANT AGGREGATES AND DERIVED PRODUCTS refers to novel, light-weight, highly fire resistant mineralized aggregates and a process of making the same. They can be used loose, as R-5/inch or better, fillinsulation, or as agglomerations followed by pressing or extruding into solid or hollow-core, fire-resistant panels, or other various fire-resistant shapes.
