The case (1) contains instruments (2) made mostly of synthetic material by highly automated processes and sterilised before being packaged. Plates (3) of e.g. C or aramide fibre reinforced composite material are presented to a cutting-out unit (4) with digital control from a CAD workstation (5). The cutouts (6) are taken through an assembling station (7) and a sharpening station (8) where they are polished and any metallic tips, needles etc. are fitted by conventional techniques. Each set of instruments is made up in a sterile environment (11). |
