PURPOSE: To provide a device which makes an image display that a user hardly has a sense of incompatibility with. CONSTITUTION: When an interaction process board 101 determines speech contents, speech text data are retrieved from a speech text data base 103 and passed to a speech synthesis board 104 and an image composition board 105. The speech synthesis board 104 synthesizes the speech corresponding to the speech text data and outputs them from a speech signal monitor board 107. The image composition board 105 decomposes the speech text data into syllables and takes mouth shape data corresponding to the syllables out of a mouth shape data base 102. Further, a face image is composed on the basis of the mouth shape data and displayed on a display 106. The speech signal monitor board 107 sends an end signal once the speech signal outputted from the speech synthesis board 104 ends. The image composition board 105 quits the face image composition on receiving this end signal. Further, if the end signal is not sent although the face image composition ends, the face image composition is carried on until the end signal is obtained. |
