PURPOSE: To provide a sign language editing device which generates easy-to-see sign language animation data according to an efficient framework representing information other than hand motion. CONSTITUTION: The hand motion (hand motion of sign language words or some of sign language words) which is inputted from a glove type sensor 101 is corrected and registered as hand motion data (time-series data), >=1 hand motion data are read out, and time-series data on a mouth shape, an expression, and a gesture are added to generate and register sign language word data (time- series data), and sign language word data constituting a sign language sentence are read out to constitute time-series data of the sign language sentence, time- series data on the hand motion, mouth shape, expression, and gesture of the time-series data of the sign language sentence are corrected, and the time-series data on the mouth shape, expression, and gesture are added between sign language words. Further, a pause is added between the sign language words to obtain a sign language animation of the sign language sentence which is smooth and natural. |
