Railway train axle spacing measuring system

摘要

The axle spacing measuring system calculates the spacing between the successive axles of a multiple-carriage train. An equation is defined in terms of the axle detection time points provided by a railway track switches and the known spacing between the latter. Pref. the spacing between the track switches is greater than the min. possible spacing between the vehicle axles, with the axle detection time points provided by a further preceding or following track switch used to replace the axle detection time points of a failed track switch.
