PURPOSE: To use the voice data transmitted and received in a multimedia electronic conference system and to realize the authentication of conference participants and the management of the right to speaking. CONSTITUTION: When a participant in a conference explains contents of characters and graphics with a voice while drawing them in a shared window, input events of document data, picture data, and voice data successively occur, and the speaker is identified by a speaker recognition process 114 with respect to voice data. If voice data from speakers other than preliminarily designated specific speakers is detected, the transmission processing of voice data is inhibited or the sound volume of transmitted voice data is reduced. Thus, the trouble that the voice or the like of a person who is not a just participant in the conference or a participant in the conference who doesn't have the right for speaking is sent as voice data to participants in the conference of the other client computers is prevented. |
