PURPOSE: To effectively utilize the video telephone equipment by enabling communication in an original set state when performing communication again after the communication is temporarily finished when a privacy mode is previously set. CONSTITUTION: A user sets the ON of the privacy mode while using a key input part 5 and terminates or originates a call later. In this case, privacy mode on is stored in a privacy managing part 10. Then, only a voice line is connected corresponding to call termination or call origination by a line interface control part 9, and speaking due to a voice is started. At such a time, the privacy mode is operated during speaking but a system control part 8 controls this state so as not to store it in the managing part 10. Therefore, even after speaking is finished, the set state of the privacy mode is ON equally with the set state before speaking. When the privacy mode is not canceled during speaking, after the end of speaking, the privacy mode is still turned on. |
