OPTICAL TRANSMITTER FOR ANALOG SIGNAL

PURPOSE: To provide an optical transmitter of analog signals which has high transmission characteristic in a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: The output of an electric/optic converter 5 is turned again into a digital signal by an optic/electric converter 6. Then the difference is calculated by a subtracter 1 between the digital signal and an input analog signal, and this difference is integrated by an integrator 2. The integrated difference is sampled by a sampling clock of a sampler 3 and binarized. Thus a digital sigma modulation signal is produced and undergoes the optical modulation by the converter 5, and this optical modulated signal is transmitted.
