OPTICAL TRANSMITTER FOR ANALOG SIGNAL

PURPOSE: To provide an optical transmitter for analog signals which has high transmission characteristic in a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: An analog signal is converted into a digital signal by a digital modulation circuit consisting of a subtracter 1, a sampler 3 and an integrator 2. The digital signal is turned into a digital signal DPO of a binary digital bit form. Then the signal DPO is converted into an optical signal by an electric/ optical converter 7 and transmitted. At the receiver side, the digital signal acquired through the optical/electric conversion is integrated and the analog signal is extracted by an LPF.
