PURPOSE: To spruiously display the state of a whole character string in the cell of a table with one line and to precisely enlarge the width of the cell with one ruled line shift operation. CONSTITUTION: When the value of cell width is designated through a user interface means 11 at the time of enlarging the cell width of the table, a character number calculation means 12 calculates the number of the characters insertable to designated cell width. A character string spurious display means 13 spuriously displays the state of the whole character string inputted to the cell with one line when the character string inputted to the cell is calculated to be more than one line in the cell by the character number calculation means 12. The state of the whole character string is spuriously displayed with one line by the inverse display of a minimum frame accomodating the whole character string by exceeding the ruled line of the right side of the cell in the line direction, for example. A character string decision means 14 returns the state of the hole character string which has been spuriously displayed to normal display and decides it as a correct character string position. |
