PURPOSE: To easily display a page which a user desires and to grasp rough document quantity in respective pages by giving variable scales corresponding to document quantity to a vertical scroll bar in a display controller which page-develops the documents of plural pages by means of a scroll bar. CONSTITUTION: At the time of displaying the document consisting of the plural pages, a page delimiting width ratio calculation device 104 calculates a page delimiting width ratio based on document information of a data management device 103. In a scroll bar controller 105, a guide part giving a page number at the calculated ratio is installed in the scroll bar, and scroll bar is controlled and the result is displayed on CRT in an output device 106. |
